Roughly 6 months ago I released my first book in the Simple Rules Books series called 5 Simple Rules for Investing in the Stock Market.
In it, I go through the steps that I take for selecting stocks in the US Stock market to invest in.
I use the companies from the Dow Jones as an example to help take you through the criteria (the rules) for choosing companies.
If you have the book you’ll know that three stocks passed all of the rules: Chevron (CVX), Intel (INTC), and Exxon Mobil (XOM).
United Technologies (UTX) also made the rules but at the time of writing the book, it was trading too high (I won’t buy anything over 16 times earnings) so it was discounted.
Now just 6 months later, all three of those stocks have increased in value.
100% hit rate! With an average increase of 12% in just 6 months.
Simple but effective. ’nuff said.
P.S. 5 Simple Rules for Investing in the Stock Market is available for Kindle, Nook, iBooks and as a paperback. For more buying options find out more here.
